Little Crane

Privacy Policy

for the app Little Crane (Kleiner Kran) and this website · Last updated 23 October 2026

In short: Little Crane does not collect any personal data. The app is made for young children, needs no account, shows no ads, has no in-app purchases, uses no analytics or tracking services and does not connect to any server. Everything the app stores stays on the device.

1. Controller

Name
Raphael Feichtenschlager
Address
Thalhausen 18, 5152 Michaelbeuern, Austria
Contact
feichten.code@gmail.com

No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no obligation to do so.

2. Data on the device

The app stores the game progress (for example built houses, collected stickers and how far the child has got in an exercise) and the settings for sound, music and language. It also keeps technical frame rate measurements so that the game runs smoothly. This data stays exclusively in the app’s storage on the iPhone or iPad and is never transmitted, not even to the developer. Deleting the app deletes it as well.

3. No internet, no permissions

All pictures, voices, sounds and stories are included in the app. The app downloads nothing from the internet and sends nothing. It does not ask for access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location and contains no external links, no advertising and no social media integration.

4. Children

Little Crane is made for children up to about 5 years. Because the app collects no data at all, no data from children is collected, stored or shared.

5. App Store and TestFlight

Little Crane is distributed through Apple’s App Store and TestFlight. For purchase, download, installation and updates, Apple processes data under its own privacy policy. If you have agreed in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides anonymised crash reports and usage statistics. These contain nothing that identifies anyone personally.

6. This website

When you visit littlecrane.app, your browser technically transmits your IP address, date and time, the requested page and the browser type. The server processes this data to deliver the page and keeps it briefly in logs to ensure secure operation and detect attacks. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website sets no cookies and loads nothing from third-party servers.

Recipients: Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany, operates the server in a data centre in the EU. Cloudflare, Inc., USA, handles the name resolution (DNS) of the domain. The website’s traffic does not pass through Cloudflare.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Since the app does not send any data to the developer, the developer usually holds no data about you or your child. For requests, email feichten.code@gmail.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

8. Changes

If the app changes in a way that data is processed differently, this policy will be updated beforehand. The version published here applies.
